TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Making a Booking

A deposit of 25% of the total cost of the holiday is payable on booking and is non refundable. Bookings will not be secured until this deposit is paid.

The balance of the holiday is payable 6 weeks prior to your arrival date. If a booking is made within the 6 week period prior to your arrival date then payment in full is required at the time of booking. Bookings will not be secured until this payment is received.
 
Cancellation

Fees will be returnable, subject to deduction of the deposit, if written cancellation is received at anytime prior to 6 weeks before the start of your holiday. If you cancel within 6 weeks prior to the start of your holiday you will be responsible for the payment in full. It is recommended that insurance be taken out against cancellation for reasons outside your control.

Property and Safety

All property which a guest brings to Kirkdale Apartments is brought entirely at their own risk and the proprietors cannot accept any responsibility for any loss or damage to the property of any guest. During a holiday, or when a guest is not on the property, the proprietors of Kirkdale Apartments do not accept responsibility for any injury which is incurred.

In the event that you need to take a PCR test, there is a drive through testing centre situated at the Old Balfour Hospital in Kirkwall. For any queries you can contact the local testing centre on 0300 303 9545.

In order to protect our housekeeping staff we are requiring a little more from our guests than normal, this includes,

Emptying the fridge/freezer and cupboards of food items.
Emptying all bins and placing them in the wheelie bins outside.
Making sure all crockery, glasses and cutlery are left clean.
Wiping down all kitchen surfaces, sinks and toilets using the supplied cleaning materials which meet the required industry standard.

General

Please leave your apartment in good order, as found. The named person on the booking will be held responsible for any breakages or damage and a charge may be made if the property is left in poor condition.

Both Rousay and Eynhallow apartments sleep up to 6 guests, Egilsay and Wyre sleep up to 4 guests. This is the maximum number of guests permitted per apartment and these limits should not be exceeded.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere within Kirkdale Apartments.
